Maxspect Nano-Tech Anaerobic-Blocks

Maxspect Nano-Tech Anaerobic-Blocks efficiently remove nitrates from marine aquariums. This proprietary technology is specifically designed to stimulate the growth of anaerobic bacteria which completes the nitrification cycle essentially breaking down nitrates into the form of nitrogen gas. The the Anaerobic Blocks are specially treated to excel at establishing anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria which strives in negative oxygen. The porous structure is the ideal living condition and environment for bacterial colonies, and will not decompose or become brittle.

• What is Nano-Tech Anaerobic-Blocks:

A pair of nano‑ceramic blocks (approx. 97 × 97 × 25 mm or 3¾″ × 3¾″ × 1″), each with an ultra‑high surface area (~1,025 m² or ~11,033 ft²)

Designed to foster anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria that complete the nitrogen cycle by converting nitrate into nitrogen gas—which then bubbles out of the aquarium

• How Maxspect Nano-Tech Anaerobic-Blocks works:

1. Stack two blocks horizontally in the sump

2. Place a denitrification catalyst between them , this feeds the anaerobic bacteria and should be replaced every ~2 months

3. The blocks should be cleaned or replaced approximately every 6 months, but only replace or clean half at a time to retain existing bacterial colonies for quicker recovery.
